Trigger Factors of Early Sex

New news I get from ABC News may be useful
Too much TV, lack of self-respect, too disappointed, the severity of family relationships, can be a formula that increases early sexual behavior among adolescents, according to a new study quoted by Xinhua news agency.

"If you collect all of these factors, you can obtain a stronger estimate on who to have sex and who does not," said Dr. Janet Hyde, of the University of Wisconsin, who headed the research team.

"Just one probably would not produce it, but over time you'll get two or three risk factors and conditions began to deteriorate," he said.

Hyde and her team studied 273 teenagers between the ages of 13 and 15 years. As many as 15 percent of them had had sex earlier.

"Children who perform sex act early almost impossible to use a protector so that increase the risk of teenage pregnancy and of contracting diseases," Hyde said.

One of the biggest factors contributing early teen sex is television viewing in part because television programs depict the level. That's because the sexuality higher than exist in the real world.

"Many communications experts say that as we watch a lot of material like that, we were made to believe that it is real. In this case, children who watch lots of TV believe that all children actually having sex, so they also will do it if you do not want estranged , "said Hyde - who reported his team's findings in the Journal of Youth and Adolescence.

TV also often does not depict the evils of sex, such as unwanted pregnancy or disease is transmitted through sexual contact, he said.

But that's not the only risk factor for teens to start having sex under 15 years.

Girls who had sex early have a lower self-esteem, poor relationships with their parents, living with a single mother or stepparent, showed signs of attention-deficiency hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), not doing well in school , and watch more television.

Boys who had sex more lahw through early puberty, have low self-esteem, showed signs of ADHD and defiance-defiance disorder (ODD), had poor relationships with their parents and also watched telvisi more than boys other males.

The researchers recommend that all risk factors of early sex by teens and parents handled participate in the process with the teachers and tutors.

They also called for comprehensive sex education programs so teens can protect themselves if they have sex.

"If we have a comprehensive sex education so that kids can really have a choice they know and protect themselves, it is a much better strategy," said Hyde. (*)

  1. I discovered that working with a dark background is making a difference in my productivity. So I launched into investigating word processors envisioned for ADHD. There aren’t so many out there but I love this one: http://bit.ly/2DWi1K9
